The Booby

FISHING METHOD: I have fished
this pattern with both floating and sinking lines. In shallow water, use a
slow pull retrieve with several short 2 to 4 inch pulls every 15-20
seconds. On sinking lines with a short leader, let the fly sink to the
bottom before you start your retrieve, I use a 3 to 4 second full hand
twist with several 2 to 6 inch pulls to retrieve the fly (long
pauses). Try trolling this fly with a sinking line. It’ the wriggle that
works along with long pauses. |
