TYING NOTES:

1.       Lay down a thread base on the shank of the hook.

2.       Tie in a marabou tail. One shank length.

3.       Tie in copper wire around 3” to 4” long.

4.       Tie in crystal chenille and wind forward.

5.       Tie in the base of the hackle at front of shank (leave enough room to form the head). Wind hackle to rear counter clock wise. Hold onto tip.

6.       Capture the end of the hackle with the copper wire to hold hackle in place. Wind copper wire forward (4 wraps) counter clock wise. Tie off. The wire rib will make the fly more durable.
