TYING NOTES: |
1. 1. Pinch your barb down on the hook. |
2. Lay down a thread base. |
3. Return the thread to the bend of the hook and tie in 2 strands of crystal flash, wrap forward 7-8 wraps and tie off. |
4. Tie 10-12 Cock pheasant tail fibers at the bend in the hook and wind the thread half way down the hook shank. |
5. Apply cement and leave until tacky. Wind the Cock pheasant tail fibers along half the hook shank. |
6. Make sure the fibers are flat and secure with tight thread wraps. Fold the tips of the fibers back and beneath the hook shank to form the first hackle. |
7. Secure the fibers in place with turns of the tying thread |
8. Take a second bunch of 12-15 Cock pheasant fibers and tie them in just in front of the rear body section. Again apply cement until tacky. |
9. Wrap the fibers up to the eye and secure with thread. Fold the fibers back and beneath the hook to form the second hackle. |
10. Wrap a small head, whip finish, clip the thread, and cement. |
