FISHING METHOD:
In shallow water, use
a slow pull retrieve with several short 2 to 4 inch pulls every 15-20
seconds. Deeper water on
sinking lines let the fly sink near the bottom before you start your
retrieve. Try trolling this fly with a sinking line. |

TYING NOTES: 1. Pinch your barb down on the hook. 2. Lay down a thread base on the shank of the hook. 3. Tie in the several hackle fibres for the tail. 4. Tie in black chenille near bend. 5. Wrap chenille up to near hook eye and tie off. 6. Tie in about 10 or so strands of red krystal flash for the wingcase followed by 4 or 5 strands of peacock herl. Tie in the peacock herl in by the tips to ensure a full thorax 7. Wind the peacock herl forward over the thorax 8. Tie in a black saddle hackle for beard 9. Pull the Krystal Flash over the thorax and tie off. 10. Make a nice head and tie off and head cement it. Have fun catching fish after fish !! |
