FISHING METHOD:  The method of fishing i use is to troll it with a full sink line (type II or III ) , Vary your speed while trolling the fly or anchor near the shoals and start casting.

 Hook Wet Nymph Size 10 - 2x
 Thread  6/0 Black
 Tail  6 or 8 Peacock Sword Feathers
 Ribbing  Oval silver
 Body  Dark Peacock Crystal Chenille
 Hackle  Brown Hackle or Furnace Hackle
 Wing  Mallard

TYING NOTES:

  1. First pinch your barb, lay down a thread base to the bend of the hook.

  2. Tie in the tail, and then a length of silver ribbing.

  3. Tie in Crystal chenille,

  4. Wrap the body forward

  5. Wrap the tinsel forward as evenly as possible to create the body segments

  6. Tie wing.

  7. Tie in hackle and wind around

  8. Form a rounded head, whip finish, and cement.

TIPS: It is caddis imitation and fishes very well that way. It also fishes very well in stillwater situations. Peacock is a fish catching color and it is always good to have a few of these in your box.
