Spent Adult Damsel (Dry)

FISHING METHOD:
Find this on a floating line by casting the pattern into the weeds where
the naturals are emerging. Retrieve the pattern by using sporadic 1-2 inch
twitches. When the trout are actively feeding on the natural emerging
adults, hang on to your red with both hands! |

1. Pinch your barb down on the hook. |
|
2. Lay down a thread base on the shank of the hook. |
|
3. Tie in more braid (Pre coloured) |
|
4. Cut sheet foam into ¼” strip. |
|
5. Trim foam strip to a point at one end and secure to the bottom of the hook shank. |
|
6. Fold foam strip over the eye and poke a hole approximately where the eye of the hook is. |
|
7. Poke the eye of the hook through the hole of the foam and fold the sheet foam over top of the shank and secure to the shank back about a ¼” to the foam head. |

8. Tie in two pieces of clearwing material approximately ¾ of the length of the tail behind the foam head. |
|
9. Tie in grizzly hackle by the tip, wrap in about 4-6 turns to cover the base of the wing material where the base of the wing material was tied in. |

10. Whip finish twice (applying head cement to the thread on the second whip finish) |
