Shuswap River
The Kalamalka Fly Fishers donate $750.00 annually to the King Fisher
Society. They teach the students about the Shuswap River Salmon and what
part they play in the ecosystem. The students collect eggs and take
them back to their schools for further study. The fry are released
in the spring to continue on their cycle of life.

The Kalamalka Fly Fishers donate $750 annually to
School District #22 for the Salmonoid Program. This has helped to
transport hundreds of students to partake in a firsthand view of Kokanee

the Kokanee through a lecture and a demonstration. In addition , several
aquariums have been donated to the elementary schools to study the egg to
fry Kokanee life cycle. The fry are released back in to the water where
